The iconic Cooly Rocks On festival is back again this week from the 4 – 8 June 2025! This mostly free and fabulous festival celebrates all things vintage—motors, music, and memories—with a jam-packed program of events, performers, and attractions that transform the beachfront into a nostalgic paradise with something for everyone.

Show ‘N’ Shine

Walk down memory lane with Show ‘N’ Shine, the crown jewel of Cooly Rocks On. Over 900 vintage vehicles—including classics, customs, hot rods, and muscle cars—will stretch across nearly two kilometres of Coolangatta with the backdrop of Coolangatta beach. Car enthusiasts from every corner of Australia gather to showcase their treasures in this beachside paradise.

Cooly Rocks On Pin-Up Pageant

Step back in time with the dazzling Pin-Up Girls Pageant, featuring contestants from Australia and abroad. Catch the Sashing Ceremony on Wednesday or spot the finalists enjoying the festival before the big event on Friday. Categories include Classic, Rockabilly, and Most Entertaining, with plenty of retro glam to go around.

Saturday Night Car Cruise

Get ready to step back in time as the Saturday Night Car Cruise returns to Coolangatta! Under the glow of bright lights, the streets come alive with the rumble of vintage engines, creating an electrifying party atmosphere for all ages.

One of Australia’s largest showcases of pre-1979 vehicles, this iconic event sees classics, hot rods, customs, and muscle cars cruising through the heart of Cooly. The spectacle stretches along Marine Parade, with designated viewing areas offering the perfect spot to soak up the magic. Best of all? It’s completely free for spectators!

The Ultimate Elvis Tribute

Slip on your blue suede shoes and experience the magic of Elvis through the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist (UETA) Contest. Over three days, tribute artists will compete for the crown and a ticket to Elvis Week in Memphis, USA.

With pop-up stages scattered throughout Coolangatta, you’ll be treated to live performances from Australia’s favorite rockabilly, swing, and rock ‘n’ roll artists – and even a few international stars.
